1. Introduction & Foundational Privacy Philosophy

At VedsApp (“we”, “us”, or “our”), we believe that personal photos and pet memories belong solely to you. GroomPup (“the App”) is designed to adhere to the strictest privacy and security standards in modern consumer software.

GroomPup leverages next-generation Apple Intelligence, Apple’s Image Playground framework, and Private Cloud Compute (PCC) to execute high-fidelity dog grooming previews while upholding verifiable, end-to-end cryptographic privacy.

2. Private Cloud Compute & Apple Intelligence Standards

When you transform a dog photograph using GroomPup on supported Apple Silicon devices running iOS 18+ or iPadOS 18+:

• On-Device First: When capable, generative models execute directly on your device’s Apple Neural Engine (ANE).
• Private Cloud Compute (PCC): When complex generative models require cloud assistance, computation occurs within Apple’s custom Apple Silicon servers protected by hardware-enforced cryptographic security.
• Verifiable Non-Retention: Apple’s PCC architecture guarantees that your uploaded dog photos and generated styling outputs are never retained after the transformation is sent back to your device, and are inaccessible even to Apple administrators or third parties.
• Zero Model Training: Your pet images are never used to train or refine foundational machine learning models.

3. Local On-Device Data Storage Architecture

All personal data created within GroomPup remains localized strictly on your device container:

• Pet Profiles: Dog name, breed, age, fluff level, and custom avatar thumbnails are stored in the local Application Support directory (GroomPupData/pet_profiles.json).
• Saved Makeovers: Transformed images and original before-photos are serialized locally to disk (GroomPupData/makeovers.json) using memory-efficient JPEG compression.
• Preferences & Presets: Selected style tags, accessory choices, and daily quota timestamps are stored in your device’s local UserDefaults.
• No Remote User Database: We operate no external profile servers, no telemetry databases, and no cloud synchronization services outside of Apple’s verified frameworks.

4. Device Permissions & Hardware Introspection

To provide its core functionality, GroomPup requests only the following permissions:

• Camera (Optional): Used solely when you choose to photograph your dog directly inside the Studio tab. The camera feed is processed in real-time memory and never streamed to any external server.
• Photo Library (Optional): Accessed only through Apple’s modern PhotosPicker UI, granting GroomPup access strictly to the individual pet photos you explicitly select.
• Hardware Introspection (utsname): The app reads standard POSIX machine identifiers via DeviceCapability.swift to verify compatibility with Apple Intelligence and Private Cloud Compute (e.g. A17 Pro / A18 / M-Series chips). No unique hardware serials or persistent tracking IDs are read.

5. Zero Third-Party Trackers & Advertising

GroomPup contains:

• NO third-party analytics SDKs (no Google Firebase, no Meta Pixel, no Mixpanel, no AppsFlyer).
• NO advertising networks, banner ads, interstitial ads, or tracking cookies.
• NO cross-app tracking. We do not access your device Advertising Identifier (IDFA).

6. In-App Purchases & StoreKit 2 Privacy

GroomPup offers an optional GroomPup Pro subscription ($2.99/month or annual options) for unlimited daily makeovers, high-resolution 4K exports, and all creative salon styles.

All commercial transactions are handled directly by Apple StoreKit 2. We do not process, receive, or store your credit card, billing address, or payment details. Apple manages your subscription through your Apple Account in accordance with Apple’s Privacy Policy.

7. Family Safety & Children’s Privacy

GroomPup is safe for all ages and family members. Because GroomPup does not collect personal identity information, require account creation, or include public social chat rooms, it fully complies with COPPA and global child privacy regulations.

8. Data Control, Export & Deletion Rights

You have absolute control over your data at all times:

• Delete Individual Makeovers: Swipe to delete any saved look inside the Wardrobe tab.
• Delete Pet Profiles: Edit or remove pet profiles instantly in Pet Settings.
• Complete Data Erasure: Simply delete GroomPup from your iOS/iPadOS device to instantly remove all cached files and local databases.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new features or evolving privacy standards. Any changes will be posted to this page with an updated effective date.
